Terms of Service

By using Zulu, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — especially the safety disclaimer.

1. Safety Disclaimer — Read This First

Zulu is a study and reference tool, not a replacement for a certified flight instructor, an official DUATS/Flight Service briefing, or pilot-in-command responsibility.

AI systems can make mistakes. Weather data, NOTAMs, and TFRs can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Never rely solely on Zulu for flight-critical decisions. Always:

You, as pilot in command, are solely responsible for the safe and legal operation of every flight.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zulu. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use at contact@zuludev.com.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Zulu Pro is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their policies; Zulu does not process refunds directly.

6. Free Tier Limits

The free tier includes 10 AI chat messages and 10 quiz questions per day. The pilot logbook, live weather, NOTAMs, and TFRs require a Pro subscription.

7. Logbook Data

Logbook entries you create in Zulu are your data. You can export your logbook to PDF or CSV at any time from the app. We store your logbook so it syncs across your devices, but we claim no ownership of its contents.

8. Content & Intellectual Property

The Zulu app, branding, and all original content are owned by Zulu Technology LLC. FAA documents referenced by Zulu are public-domain U.S. government works. You own the questions you submit, the chat history you generate, and the logbook entries you create.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zulu Technology LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any damages related to the use of the service including but not limited to flight operations, training decisions, or interpretation of regulations.

Zulu is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of Zulu after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
