Built for the student pilot staring at a stack of manuals at midnight.
Zulu exists because aviation knowledge is scattered, dense, and expensive to access — and because AI, done right, can finally fix that.
The problem
Every student pilot knows the drill. The PHAK is 600+ pages. The AIM is longer. 14 CFR Parts 1, 61, 91, 135 — it's thousands of pages of regulations that cross-reference each other constantly. Then there's the knowledge test question bank to memorize, the logbook to maintain, and weather products to decode before every flight. Study tools, question banks, and digital logbooks are all sold separately, all with different subscriptions, and none of them talk to each other.
Generic AI chatbots aren't the answer either. They hallucinate FAA rules with complete confidence, they don't have a question bank, they can't keep your logbook, and they have no access to live weather or NOTAMs.
Our approach
Zulu combines four tools every student pilot needs — AI chat, a practice question bank, a pilot logbook, and live aviation data — into one app with one subscription. The AI is grounded in real FAA documents before it ever answers, so you always get citations, not guesses. The question bank explains every answer with references to the source document. The logbook tracks FAA categories correctly and exports cleanly to PDF or CSV. And live weather, NOTAMs, and TFRs come straight from the FAA and aviationweather.gov.
Who it's for
Zulu is built first for student pilots — the ones grinding for a knowledge test, rehearsing for an oral exam, or trying to understand why their CFI just scrubbed the lesson. But every feature works just as well for Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and ATP pilots who want an instant reference, a searchable regulation library, and a logbook that just works.
What Zulu is not
Zulu is not a replacement for a CFI, a DPE, or an official flight briefing. It's a study tool, a reference, and a digital logbook — a faster way to get to the right information. You, as pilot in command, are always responsible for your flight.
